KSPPREP DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP

Build the foundation.
Then go farther.

KSPPrep is being developed in deliberate stages. The current foundation focuses on structured training, testing, results, persistence, and account-backed progress. The next headline upgrade is planned around GPS-powered run tracking and pace.

VERSION 1.0

TRAIN • TEST • TRACK

01

The v1.0 foundation is designed to make structured preparation easier to follow, preserve progress when training is interrupted, and give users a clear view of their work over time.

12-WEEK PROGRAMStructured daily workouts with progressive training demands.
TEST CENTERPractice and record test-focused events and supplemental preparation.
RESULTS + PERSONAL BESTSReview saved performance and recent training activity.
WORKOUT IN PROGRESSSave an unfinished session and return without starting over.
OFFLINE PERSISTENCESupported training data remains available through temporary connectivity loss.
CROSS-DEVICE SYNCSigned-in training state synchronizes across supported devices.
ACCOUNT CONTROLSReset training data, sign out, privacy controls, and permanent account deletion.
WORKOUT PLAYERGet Ready → In Progress → Recovery with timers, sets, and clear next actions.

GPS RUN TRACKING & PACE

02

The planned v1.1 headline feature turns distance-based runs into a dedicated live tracking experience instead of forcing GPS logic into the existing Workout Player.

CURRENT PACE7:11 / MI
AVG PACE7:14 / MI
LIVE DISTANCEContinuously measure progress toward the target distance.
ELAPSED TIMEKeep the run clock visible throughout the attempt.
CURRENT + AVERAGE PACEUnderstand immediate pace and overall run pace.
GPS QUALITYShow whether location accuracy is strong enough for reliable tracking.
PAUSE / RESUMEPreserve run state when an attempt needs to be paused.
AUTO FINISHRecognize when the target distance has been reached.
PLANNED TARGET DETECTION300 M1 MILE1.5 MILES

Planned engineering work also includes location permission handling, weak-GPS protection, unrealistic-jump filtering, and locked/background run operation. These features are not part of v1.0.

FUTURE ENHANCEMENTS

Ideas beyond the first GPS release.

Longer-term concepts, not promises for a specific version or release date.

01

Split times

Review pace by distance segment.

02

Pace history

Compare pace across repeated runs.

03

Route maps

Visualize completed GPS routes.

04

PB comparisons

Compare current runs against previous bests.

05

Audio cues

Optional spoken distance milestones.

DEVELOPMENT PRINCIPLE

Stability before expansion.

New capabilities should integrate with the existing workout, results, account, synchronization, and program-completion systems rather than creating disconnected training experiences.
